Well on Dancing with the Stars, they sent Susan Lucci home this week. She’s so beautiful and so very tiny. I love her on All my Children. Erica Kane is something. Susan is a very gracious lady too. I did not have any idea she was in her 60’s though. Anyway, I think she did a great job especially when I found out she’s as old as she is. I had no idea. I hope I look that good when I get into my 60’s but I won’t hold my breath.

Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving and is the official start of the Christmas buying season. I wonder how it got the name ‘Black Friday’? Personally, I hate shopping on Black Friday. The crowds are horrible, IF you’re lucky you might get half of the wonderful buy you went after at 3 o’clock in the morning. If you’re not, you come home tired, empty handed and grumpy from trying to get through all the other tired, grumpy people.
Well I have found the best solution to Black Friday there is. It’s bfads online. It’s all the Black Friday deals without the Black Friday crowds. How wonderful is that? I think pretty darn wonderful. You can sit in the comfort of your own home, at your computer, no one to step on your toes or run into you with their shopping cart either. You just make a couple clicks and purchase all the great deals from the comfort of your home. Sounds like a dream come true.
They have deals at all the stores you would like to shop at like Toys R Us big toy book deals but without all the crying kids, toys in the isles, and parents trying to grab the last item on the shelf before you can. You just need to check them out and I bet you could get most of your shopping done in no time flat and still be smiling when you’re finished.

Mom and I went and voted this morning. This is the first year I have been old enough to vote. Mom always votes and has made sure I understand how important it is to exercise our right to vote. She said that women had to fight for that right and if we as women don’t vote, it’s like spitting in the faces of all those women that fought so hard for us to have the right.
Mom also says that our country was built on fighting for freedom and this is the one freedom that we have that helps to keep the other freedoms alive. I didn’t realize just how important it was until my mother opened my eyes. It’s not just a right, it’s an obligation as an American to help chose who we want to run our country for the next 4 years. I just hope I made the right choice no matter who wins.
I listened to all the speeches and debates, I read all their plans, and I stopped and looked at what I thought was important for me and my family and voted for the candidate that I thought would best serve not only my family, but our country. I hope everyone else cast an informed vote too instead of just marking the party they always vote for. That’s one thing Mom taught me too. Don’t vote for the party, vote for who you think is the best candidate no matter what party they represent. Mom is a smart woman and I am lucky to have her for my mother.

My grandfather is 69 years old but still works every day. He is a lawyer so it’s not like he has a physically demanding job but it sure is a mentally demanding job, that’s for sure. He plans on working another couple years before he retires. I’m not sure why because it’s not like they really need the money. I just think it’s because he really enjoys what he does.
He prefers Made to Measure over off the rack suits because they fit so much better. There’s nothing like having to wear a suit and it not fitting right. Grandpa always goes online before he makes his appointment to pick out the material he wants. He has the most beautiful white hair you have ever seen and looks ‘dashing’ in a navy blue pinstriped suit. He has plenty of heavier suits and is looking for one that isn’t too heavy or too light either. I don’t know enough about suit material to know what each type is like he does.
I’m pretty sure he’ll get a double breasted suit with a vest because they look so good on him. The best part about where he gets his suits from is the way they measure their customers. They measure everything to make sure the suit you buy fits you like you want. They’ve been in business making suits for over 40 years so you are getting a quality suit. Grandpa made his appointment right on their web site and will have his suit before you know it. I can’t wait to see him in it either.

It’s finally here. Halloween night and we are all ready to hit the doorbells.
Nothing like a dozen kids yelling “Trick or Treat” on someone’s porch, is there? Then to see the look on their faces when they get the candy, now that’s what I call a natural high. Holidays are about the kids. It really chaps my rear when adults try to ruin something for the kids like they have tried to mess up Halloween.
I do like the ‘Trunk or Treat’ thing a lot of churches are doing. You don’t have to walk as far and you know the candy’s safe for the kids to eat right away. You don’t have to take it to the local hospital and have it x-rayed to make sure there’s nothing hidden in the candy.Well, here’s to hoping you all have a great Halloween and get lots of candy. Remember to tell the people ‘Thank you.’
