• Did you hear about the three white tiger cubs that were rejected by their mother?  Well Isabella, a golden retriever took them in.  She nursed the ‘puppies’ and loved them just as much as if they barked instead of meowed.  People think animals don’t have feelings but I disagree.  Some animals have more feelings it seems than some people I know.  If it hadn’t been for this dog, those tiger cubs would have died.  Now the small safari park in Kansas will have the three cubs thanks to this amazing dog.

Nandi is a giant Manta Ray that was caught in shark nets off the coast of South Africa.  It was rescued and now lives in the Atlanta Aquarium.  There are only three other aquariums in the world that could house a giant manta ray and those are in Japan, Spain and in the Bahamas.

Giant Manta Rays can get up to 26 feet from the tip of one wing to the tip of the other wing.  Nandi is only 9 feet across but that’s still a lot of manta ray.  In other words, it’s still growing.  They can also weigh up to 6000 pounds.  Man that’s one big fish.  I guess you would call it a fish, wouldn’t you?

I found an article about a disabled turtle finding romance.  This is news?  This is something important in today’s world?  I honestly don’t think so.  There are far more important things that need to be addressed other than a turtle that lost the use of it’s back legs and after someone attached a skateboard to it’s underside, was able to find love.

We have monsoons that have killed many people.  We have oil prices that are slowly draining not only our way of life but out pockets too.  We have wars and injustices that need to be brought to peoples attention to hopefully stop some of it and yet a turtle made headlines in Jerusalem of all places.  The most Holy city in the world and this animal was the most important thing on that day.  I don’t think so.  Just check out http://news.yahoo.com and see for yourselves.

The Today show had a ‘doggie wedding attire show’.  I know some people treat their dogs as their children but I think we are just carrying that a bit too far.  I mean, who in their right mind takes a dog to a wedding to begin with and who cares what the dog wears.  It wears its fur coat, duh!!  They even have matching outfits for you and your dog.  I’m sorry but that bull dog in the pink dress just did nothing for me.  Okay!!!!
