• It’s finally here.  Halloween night and we are all ready to hit the doorbells.  Nothing like a dozen kids yelling “Trick or Treat” on someone’s porch, is there?  Then to see the look on their faces when they get the candy, now that’s what I call a natural high.  Holidays are about the kids.  It really chaps my rear when adults try to ruin something for the kids like they have tried to mess up Halloween.

I do like the ‘Trunk or Treat’ thing a lot of churches are doing.  You don’t have to walk as far and you know the candy’s safe for the kids to eat right away.  You don’t have to take it to the local hospital and have it x-rayed to make sure there’s nothing hidden in the candy.

Well, here’s to hoping you all have a great Halloween and get lots of candy.  Remember to tell the people ‘Thank you.’

  • Well before you know it, it will be Monday again.  Today is my day to relax and spend some time with my family.  Saturdays are usually for studying and spending time with Christian but Sunday, that’s my families special time together.  It’s somewhat of a family tradition since Daddy left so I guess I need to thank him for this then.  At least there’s one thing I can thank him for lately.

Mom and I usually cook a special big dinner for everyone.  Here lately with Mom not feeling very well, I have done most of the cooking.  I’m becoming a pretty good cook too I might add.  I’m very proud of that because I know too many girls my age that can’t hardly boil water without a microwave oven.  ;)

Anyway today we’re trying something different and I sure hope it comes out good.  I have a pot of homemade spaghetti sauce simmering on the stove right now.  It’s not totally homemade because I do use the cheapest spaghetti sauce I can find but I doctor it up with green peppers, onions, hamburger, garlic, mushrooms, and extra chopped tomatoes.  I also add a little cooking wine to it and it’s not too bad if I do say so myself.  The ’something different’ part is the spaghetti.  I got a spaghetti squash instead of the usual pasta noodles since Mom doesn’t need to be eating wheat.

I also have a nice salad made and will put some garlic bread on the table for the rest of us but I hate to do that because I know how much Mom likes garlic bread but she said the rest of us shouldn’t have to suffer just because she can’t have wheat right now.  I’m learning a lot about what wheat is in and what it’s not in.  It’s just about in everything.  I’m really thinking about becoming a dietitian.  I could really help people like my Mom in that field.  I’ll keep you posted on that and how the ‘Spaghetti’ dinner came out.  Gotta run stir the sauce so it doesn’t burn.

I have found the perfect web site for anyone that has lost touch with a friend or loved one. People Finder is where you can search for someone by name, birth record, marriage record or even divorce records.  The best thing is it’s not one of those sites that charges you an arm and a leg either.  If you wish you could find someone, check out this site and you just might find them after all.

Talk about having a blast well I did.  Christian and I went shooting paintballs today and I had no idea just how much fun it would be.  I was a bit nervous  about it at first but I am so glad I went now.  I had never even seen a paintball gunbefore today so I wasn’t too sure of what to expect.  Christian has all kinds of paintball gear too.  Now I know what I want for Christmas this year, my own Tippman 98 custom like Christians.  I just can’t tell you how much I enjoyed today.  You have got to try it yourself and I bet you’ll have a blast too.

  • Christian knows I have been having a bit of a hard time with all that is going on in my family.  He is such a wonderful person that he has been looking for Football Tickets so he can take me to see my favorite team, the Washington Redskins when they play our local team.  I have never been to a professional football game before and I know I would really enjoy it.  My father once told me he would take me but that’s not going to happen.  That’s okay because I have someone that thinks I’m worth it.

He found online tickets where he can get not only football tickets but also concert and other sports tickets too.  He asked me if he couldn’t get tickets to see the Washington Redskins play if there was anything else I would like to see like maybe a baseball game or even a concert.  You know, anything would be great as long as he’s with me.  I do think the Jonas Brothers are coming but I’m not sure if they are coming close enough to us for us to go.  I’m really glad he found this site because they make it easy to plan better what or who we want to go see.
