Well I went to register for classes today. I am just taking the core classes like English, Math, and I have signed up for Spanish too this quarter. I need to work too so I’m not going to take too many hard classes this quarter so I can help Mom. I’m looking forward to returning to school. My brother and sister are getting all excited too. Mom is too but for different reasons than they are. She has always loved to buy us back to school supplies.

My mother has a really good friend that has a lot of antiques and wants to open an antique shop. She has loved antiques for as long as I can remember and wants to share her love for them with others that love antiques too. She wants to call it ‘New Again’ because if you buy something from her, it’s new to you even though it might be 50 years old or older. I think the name is really pretty smart but others might not think so. Like the old saying goes, ‘What’s old becomes new again to the next owner.’ I guess that’s an old saying isn’t it? I think that’s the way it goes anyway.
She spoke with someone that told her she would need merchant accounts so that she can accept credit card payments in her store. A merchant account is when they provide you with a terminal to process credit cards and debit cards. They provide you with customer service should your terminal go down and they get you the money the next day. You don’t have to wait a month like some others require. The one that was suggested to her even has a 30 day free trial period.
She’ll be able to accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and also Discover cards. The best part of this company is there is no long term contract she has to sign so she’s not stuck with it for years if she decides she doesn’t really need it. The transaction fee is very reasonable too compared to some she checked into. Oh and to top it off, there was no annual fees either. Those can really add up too. She’s going to save a bunch of money by using them so that she can accept credit cards.

Did you hear about Julia Childs being a spy? What a good cover to be a world known chef and a spy at the same time. I thought that was just too cool. This was a really tall, really well known woman and also a really good cook too. I wonder if she was as good at spying as she was at cooking? Bet we’ll never know the truth about that question.

Talk about having a blast well I did. Christian and I went shooting paintballs today and I had no idea just how much fun it would be. I was a bit nervous about it at first but I am so glad I went now. I had never even seen a paintball gunbefore today so I wasn’t too sure of what to expect. Christian has all kinds of paintball gear too. Now I know what I want for Christmas this year, my own Tippman 98 custom like Christians. I just can’t tell you how much I enjoyed today. You have got to try it yourself and I bet you’ll have a blast too.

It’s one of those kind of days, you know when you just don’t seem to have any energy to do anything. Nothing but lay around the house all day that is. I guess it’s because of all the rain we have gotten today. We really need it but boy has it drained me for some reason. I guess it might have something to do with overload. It’s been a tough summer and school’s right around the corner. I need to recharge a bit so I’m just going to be lazy today.
